    Dear Roman

Dear Roman

We love you and we appreciate everything you have done and given us Chelsea supporters.

Well, not everything. Not the anguish, not the ejector seat for managers (ok, some really deserved to fly away but far from all, not JM, not RdM, not Butch. Guus was only interim). But in general I think every Chelsea supporter, especially us old timers that loved Chelsea when you were only a gleen in your mother`s eye and experienced the 80`s…

You have given us every trophy we ever dreamt of. Except the Club World Cup, which some of us dreamt of and some maybe regarded as surplus - especially the English players if one has to judge from the performance in Yokohama. I look forward to winning the Europa League too.

But all along Roman, you seem to have made some major mistakes. I regard them as mistakes, but this year they have reached beyond eccentric whims and have been bordering on idiocy.

You have always listened a bit too much to the wrong people and not listened at all when you had an idea. Some of those ideas did turn out to be pretty stupid to be honest.

Had a working stiff that only make normal money, that is like what Loftus-Cheek makes in two months, in a year or two. And to be honest, he is still as far away from the team as we are. (He might get there though, we… probably not).

I already mentioned the manager ejector seat. No time since JM left (and I still do not really buy into the official version that he was fired, I think he forced you to fire him so he and his staff would get compensation. I am not sure at all JM really wanted to leave - he just wanted to be the manager, not only the coach of Chelsea), have I questioned your judgment as when you sacked Roberto di Matteo. It was wrong and above that it was class-less, ungrateful and yes, wrong again. Still a better call than appointing the manager Chelsea fans despised the most in the modern world. That was simply beyond incredibly stupid. Even if you thought he would get your £50m investment purring.

We have also seen you spend ludicrous money on spent up players that you totally believed in and loved. A love affair that turned out like some of my relationships, almost as bitter and acrimonious. Of our 4-5 biggest transfers only Drogba and Hazard seem to be the real thing. We have seen you listen to some shady figures in the world of football, no names mentioned but they work as football agents - `nough said.

So which is the biggest mistake you ever made Mr Roman? Well, only you can tell, but when it comes to Chelsea we have some options to choose from. Some mentioned above, the dealings about the CPO and the Stadium issue also comes to mind.

Still I personally regard the appointment of one of the club`s lesser scouts to be the main person when it comes to sporting matters as the most stupid thing you`ve done. So please Mr Roman, rectify that and find a retreat place for a person that risen so far above his incompentence level that he makes politicians seem honest and able. I am of course talking about Michael Emenalo.

They say José will not return unless Emenalo`s influence is stripped and his responsibilities are turned over to capable hands. I think Eva Carneiro would do a stellar job there too. Well, compared even Mark Hughes might. I know we did not get Guus to be Sporting Director, he would have made the ideal partner for André Villas-Boas who blew his chance, but in my eyes still is a great manager in the making. We can still get him though, maybe.

I knew this long before Christmas and I have already experienced the absolutely worst Winter in my private life ever, and does not seem to want to end, but I still have two very important wishes; when it comes to Chelsea.

I do care less about the manager issue in a way (as I know Benitez is interim). I think not giving Frank Lampard a new contract (of course to a wage appropriate to his status now) is disrespectful to someone that will probably be regarded as the best player ever at Chelsea. Maybe not the flair of Zola, but by no doubt the best Englishman that ever wore the blue of SW6. I actually feel pure hatred about how the club is treating one of the best trained, most intelligent and still so valuable players in the history of the game that I almost throw up thinking about it. And I blame, yes I blame Emenalo. I think this age discrimination thing that is used as the excuse to lower wages and get rid of players that did not warm to your own appointee AVB is his idea and it is so ageism discriminatory that I do not find words for it. In this look at Man United, please. (but please be fair Mr Roman, AVB screwed up by alienating players that are the culture bearers and the back bone of this club. AVB learned his lesson though and he is doing very well at some potatoe club).

So many words later, two things Mr Roman.

Organise Chelsea so that the manager is also the person responsible for transfers to the first team squad! Ours is not a policy that does benefit the club, the supporters, more the egos of people in the back rooms and they do never perform on the pitch nor win trophies.

Get rid of Michael Emenalo. The man, rumours, sources and all indications point to is responsible for us maltreating Lampard, firing Roberto di Matteo and hiring Benitez. Using maybe, Courtois as change in player transfers and doing the same with de Bruyne for a German we do not need nor should have…. (de Bruyne is also Chelsea, a guy with a Chelsea heart and no players are as loved by us fans as those…) And many other serious accusations. Emenalo is not good for Chelsea, please realise that. (Maybe he was a good scout, but if he wants to use de Bruyne as makeshift for Schürrle - not in my book even as that).

I do not think it is too much to ask for, and next year, what a team we have if we also have a manager that can feel secure in his position and even dare to wet and try out all of our wonderful young talent - together with the old guard, the culture bearers of the club, the legends that should be treated not specially but with respect for they still give to us all. We got future heroes like Kevin de Bruyne, Lukaku, Josh, Chalobah, Piazon, Kalas…. The list can go on for quite a while and wow, given the chance these players with the old guard and the incredible talent of the three matadors … we can become the next Invincibles, not only in Premier League!
